Revolution Vs. Union Final Score: New England Falls, 2-1, Sunday

The Philadelphia Union scored in the 90th minute to defeat the New England Revolution, 2-1, at PPL Park on Sunday night. The Revolution were looking for their first ever win in Philadelphia but they faltered late, letting in a Jack McInerney header past keeper Matt Reis to the bottom left corner of the net, assisted by Sheanon Williams.

The Revolution took a 1-0 lead in the 12th minute off a Saer Sene shot from outside the box to the top right corner of the net. The lead held until the 59th minute, when Freddy Adu tied the game on a penalty kick to the bottom left corner. Kevin Alston was whistled for the critical offense,

The Union controlled much of the match, holding possession 59 percent of the time and forcing seven corners to three for the Revolution. New England matched Philadelphia with five shots on goal, however.
