Blake Brettschneider's tallied a 22nd minute goal to give the New England Revolution a 1-0 lead over Real Salt Lake in their Saturday night road contest, but a 33rd minute tally from Alvaro Saboro tied the contest heading into half time.
The strong start for the Revs was a welcomed site, as the team has gone winless in four consecutive trips to Salt Lake.
New England held the edge in shots on goal, but RSL goalie Nick Rimando was up to the task on every shot after Brettschneider's tally.
Real Salt Lake has won four of five games at home this season, while the Revs have won just one of five matches away from Gillette Stadium. They are hopeful to piece together a strong second half to snap out of their season-long road woes.
Despite being outshot, RSL controlled much of the first half, holding a 59 - 41 percent possession advantage.
