Kelyn Rowe scored twice as the Revs defeated Boston College 3-0 on Feb. 10 at Gillette Stadium.

The New England Revolution defeated the Boston College Eagles 3-0 in a preseason scrimmage at Gillette Stadium on Friday afternoon.

New England's first round pick in the 2012 MLS SuperDraft Kelyn Rowe shined with two goals. Supplemental Draft selection Michael Roach scored the other goal for the Revs on the day. New England goalkeepers Matt Reis and Bobby Shuttleworth combined to pick up a cleansheet in net (via New England Revolution).

Rowe struck first in the seventh minute when Benny Feilhaber picked him out with a pass that allowed him to make an attacking run and finish with a blast that beat Boston College goalie Justin Luthy. Alec Purdie (who replaced an injured Sainey Nyassi in the 29th minute) found Rowe in the middle of the pitch for the second goal in the 54th minute. Purdie's pass allowed Rowe to step into his shot at the top of the penalty area and strike it past Luthy again. A good build up sent Roach on net for the third tally. His first shot was blocked by goalkeeper Keady Segel but Roach picked up his rebound and slotted it home in the 89th minute.

The Revs have had a promising start to their preseason with the win over BC today and a 2-1 victory over FC Tucson two weeks ago in Arizona. New England will be heading back to Arizona for the FC Tucson Desert Diamond Cup preseason tournament against the LA Galaxy, New York Red Bulls and Real Salt Lake from Feb. 22-March 3.
