2012 NFL Mock Draft: Patriots Select Jamell Fleming And Marvin Jones In Second Round

The Patriots did very well from themselves in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft, selecting Chandler Jones and Dont'a Hightower with their two picks, and they'll look to continue their success in the second round, where they also have two picks. See who Dan Kader from Mocking The Draft has the Pats taking in round two.

48. New England Patriots - Jamell Fleming, CB, Oklahoma
First-round pick: Chandler Jones, DE and Dont'a Hightower, LB

After making two first-round trades, the Patriots are low on third-day picks in this year's draft. So with two second rounders, look for the Patriots to move around in the second round. If they stay here, though, a cornerback is possible. In particular, the Patriots need a cornerback who can be physical and tackle, Fleming's specialties.

62. New England Patriots - Marvin Jones, WR, California
First-round pick: Chandler Jones, DE and Dont'a Hightower, LB

The likelihood of the Patriots keeping this pick is low. But in a scenario where no trade is projected, it's hard to see the Patriots going defense with their first four picks. There may be some better wide receivers available, but none have Jones' pure speed. He would fit well in the offense the Patriots run.
