Super Bowl 2012: Patriots LB Brandon Spikes Tweets He's Having "Suicidal Thoughts" Following Loss

Following the New England Patriots' 21-17 loss in Super Bowl XLVI to the New York Giants, Patriots linebacker Brandon Spikes tweeted that he was having "suicidal thoughts."

I would think that announcing that you're having suicidal thoughts on a social media site like Twitter is more of a hair-trigger reaction, a cry for help or a very poor attempt at a joke, but I guess you never really know. Hopefully there is nothing else to report on this story.
