Hakeem Nicks and Ahmad Bradshaw were the two most notable members of the New York Giants to miss practice on Thursday, according to Kirk Minihane of WEEI.com. Nicks suffered a shoulder injury during the NFC Championship Game while Bradshaw has been dealing with a foot injury for the majority of the season.
Tom Coughlin, the Giants' head coach, expects both Nicks and Bradshaw to be ready for the Super Bowl. Nicks had 76 catches for 1,192 yards and seven touchdowns this season while Bradshaw totaled 659 rushing yards and nine scores.
Nicks was not yet in the league when the Giants met the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLII back in February of 2008, but Bradshaw was in the league and with the Giants. In the Super Bowl, Bradshaw was New York's leading rusher, racking up 45 yards on nine carries with a long rush of 13 yards in the Giants' 17-14 victory.
