Super Bowl 2012, Patriots Vs. Giants: 'Toughest Game' For The Pats

Really, it shouldn't come as a surprise that a) the Super Bowl should be a team's toughest game of the season and b) that the New England Patriots are talking up an opponent. Bill Belichick spoke with reporters on a conference call Tuesday to discuss the team's upcoming rematch with the New York Giants in Super Bowl XLVI on February 5 in Indianapolis.

"It's certainly a great honor to be representing the AFC in this game. We're looking forward to the opportunity. Of course, the Giants are a great team. They've had a great year. This is going to be our toughest game. We've had two tough ones and we know this is going to be on a higher level. So we have a lot of work cut out for us ahead, but it's exciting to be able to have the opportunity to meet that challenge." (via Mike Reiss, ESPN Boston)

Belichick think the Giants will be a tough opponent? Shocking, I know. Nevertheless, the Patriots did lose to the New York football Giants in the regular season and in Super Bowl ... you know what, I just won't even go there. Still, it should be a closely contested game -- one that the Patriots are again favored to win. But as we all know, nothing is guaranteed.
