ANIMATED: Tom Brady And Ray Lewis Get Together, Have Words

Stay connected for news and updates

The third quarter had barely gotten started before the playoff intensity started to get cranked up between the New England Patriots and the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship Game.

With 13:34 to play in the third quarter, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis got together after a play and had a little war of words.

Brady apparently took exception with the hit Lewis put on him after he slid on the 2nd and 1 play. Brady picked up a first down on the play with a slide. There wasn't much there. Ray Lewis kind of just fell down at Brady at the end of the play. Both players are tough competitors and neither was likely to back down. The play call on the second down had the Ravens fooled and Brady probably let Lewis know it.
