The Patriots have taken a 10-3 lead over the Baltimore Ravens in the second quarter, with BenJarvus Green-Ellis carrying most of the load along the way.
Needing to find their footing again after Tom Brady's interception helped the Ravens to find the scoreboard, New England turned to their ground game and found surprising results. Picking up 23 yards on the first two plays of the drive, Green-Ellis brought the Patriots out to midfield where Brady found Wes Welker on a 3rd-and-8 play to keep the drive going.
Rob Gronkowski made his first major contribution to the game by bringing the Patriots into the red zone with a 20-yard grab, setting up BenJarvus Green-Ellis for a run that would end up being worth 9 yards after a face mask. Now just seven yards away, Green-Ellis once again got the call, bursting up the middle nearly untouched for the touchdown and a 10-3 lead.
