Tom Brady Injury Update: QB Practices Despite Sprained Shoulder

Stay connected for news and updates

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is suffering from a sprained AC joint in his left shoulder that will need six weeks of rehab to return to full strength, the NFL Network reported on Friday. (via WEEI)

Despite the injury, Brady practiced Friday for the second straight day and will almost certainly play against the Baltimore Ravens Sunday in the AFC Championship Game. He did miss Wednesday's practice to receive rest and rehab for the shoulder.

Brady was injured on Christmas Eve when he was hit by the Miami Dolphins, but has not missed any games since. The team has developed a schedule whereby Brady misses practice every Wednesday with the hopes of improving the shoulder and limiting swelling.

Brady did not look very affected by the pain on Saturday, when he threw for an NFL postseason record-tying six touchdowns against the Denver Broncos, adding a franchise postseason record 363 yards.
