Patriots Vs. Lions: Lions Take 27-10 Lead Into Halftime

Stay connected for news and updates

A chippy half of football has left the New England Patriots frustrated and down 27-10 to the Detroit Lions.

Tom Brady played for the entire half, but was only able to connect for one touchdown. That second quarter touchdown was a 44 yard pass to wide receiver Wes Welker. Welker has received his fair share of looks this evening, with 71 yards so far. Brady finished the first half completing 11 out of 20 with 142 yards passing.

The Pats have encountered problems with a Lions defense that looks to turn the game into a Saturday night HBO boxing match. The Lions’ DE Ndamukong Suh has had many opportunities to go after Brady, and has caused some ruckus after the whistle as well.

Lions’ QB Matthew Stafford exited the game in roughly midway through the second quarter, having thrown for 200 yards and two touchdowns. Shaun Hill came into the game after, and connected with Aaron Brown late in the second quarter to pad the Lions’ lead heading into halftime.
