Mark Herzlich has quickly become one of my favorite football players of all time, and he's not even a pro (yet). Herzlich, who went undrafted in this weekend's 2011 NFL Draft, wasn't focused on his draft stock, instead choosing to focus on the tragedy caused by the violent tornadoes in Alabama.
Today sucked for me but everyone needs to pray for all the people in Alabama. They need us more than ever right now.
In regards to going undrafted, Herzlich said on Twitter that he's been in a similar position before and has come out on top before.
I have been told that I can't play football before. We all know what happened with that. #neverquit
Instead of letting the disappointed get the best of him, Herzlich held his head high and is determined to show all 32 NFL teams what they missed out on this weekend. I'll guarantee you this: Herzlich is going to do whatever it takes to become a superstar in the NFL one day, you can count on that.
