2011 NFL Draft, Second Round: Patriots Have Five Picks In Rounds 2 & 3 On Friday

Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots were expected to have their hands full on Thursday night, possessing two of the first 32 picks in the 2011 NFL Draft at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. New England drafted Nate Solder with the No. 17 overall pick, but traded away the No. 28 pick to the New Orleans Saints in exchange for the No. 56 overall pick and a first round pick in 2012 -- the Saint used their acquisition to draft Mark Ingram.

Now, entering rounds two and three on Friday night, the Patriots have a grand total of five draft picks. New England owns the No. 33 overall pick, which is the first of the second round. In addition, the Patriots own the No. 56 pick and the No. 60 pick in the second round.

In the third round, the Patriots own the 10th pick (No. 74 overall - acquired in the Randy Moss trade from the Minnesota Vikings) and the 28th pick (No. 92 overall). It should be another busy day for Bill Beichick and comapny.
