In addition, the game can be heard on WBZ-FM 98.5 The Sports Hub, the flagship station of the Patriots. The lengendary duo of Gil Santos and Gino Cappelletti will serve as the broadcast team. The game can also be heard on SIRIUS Radio, Channel 86.
Last Week: Tom Brady and the Patriots suffered their first loss of the season after they blew a 21-0 lead to the Buffalo Bills in Orchard Park, NY. Tom Brady threw four interceptions, matching his total from the 2010 season, and the defense was gashed on the final drive that led to a game winning field goal. The Bills won the game 38-35.
The Raiders, on the other hand, scored an impressive win last week when they took down the vaunted New York Jets by a score of 34-24. Raiders running back Darren McFadden carried the ball 19 times for 171 yards in the win.
Players To Watch: For the Patriots, the player to watch will be rookie running back Stevan Ridley. Ridley saw his first significant action of the season last week and looked strong after regular starter Benjarvus Green-Ellis was ineffective. With Tom Brady's struggles last week, Ridley might be needed to give the Pats some much needed balance in their offense.
For the Raiders, running back Darren McFadden is finally starting to live up to the hype that made him a Top 10 pick out of Arkansas four years ago. McFadden currently leads the league in rushing with 393 yards per game (131 per game).
Storyline: After finishing 8-8 last season, the Raiders were getting some buzz in the pre-season as a potential playoff team, something that hadn't been discussed in those parts in quite awhile. They've lived up to that hype by coming out of the gate 2-1 behind the leagues best rushing attack. The Patriots meanwhile were expected to be much improved on defense on still explosive offensively. The offense continues to be great, with Tom Brady on pace to set just about every passing record imaginable, but the defense has been a train wreck through the first three weeks.
Game Preview: Check out Tanya Fox's Five Keys to the Game.
Prediction: The Patriots lack of defense is disconcerting and this Raiders team can score points. The likelihood of another sub-par Brady outing seems remote, though. Final Score: Patriots 35. Raiders 30
