Randy Moss Claimed By Titans, Expected To Report And Play

Stay connected for news and updates

An earlier report on Wednesday indicated that if Randy Moss were not happy with the team that claimed him off waivers he was prepared to sit out the entire season. Fortunately, for all involved, it won't have to come to that. Shortly after news broke that the Titans claimed him off waivers, both Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald and PFT's Mike Florio reported that two sources close to Moss indicate he's happy with joining Tennessee, and he will "show up and play."

This is obviously good news for the Titans, who needed a receiver after Kenny Britt, their leading receiver, sidelined with a hamstring injury. It's also great news for Chris Johnson and the rest of the Tennessee offense -- Moss' ability to "take the top off the defense" is nearly unparalleled in the NFL.
