The Boston College Eagles have had another stellar season and are two wins away from taking home their fifth NCAA Mens Ice Hockey championship.
The Eagles take on the second-seeded Minnesota Golden Gophers who have won five titles of their own on Thursday evening.
Boston College (29-10-1) rolled into the NCAA Tournament as a No. 1seed after dominating the regular season and Hockey East Tournament.
The Eagles haven't lost since Jan. 21 when they were defeated 7-4 by Maine University. Since then, Boston College has gone 17-0-0. Those wins include a Beanpot Tournament championship (third consecutive), conference championship and two wins in the NCAA Tournament.
They've kept it going in a big way. In fact, the Eagles are yet to allow a goal in the tournament, outscoring the Air Force Falcons and Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs 6-0 combined.
Chris Kreider and freshman forward Johnny Gaudreau will have to continue leading the team as they have all year. Kreider scored twice against Air Force while Gaudreau tallied one in the win over the Bulldogs.
If they get past Minnesota, Boston College will take on the winner of Union and Ferris State in the title game on Saturday.
