NCAA Hockey Tournament 2012: UMass Lowell Down 3-1 To Union After Second Period

UMass Lowell will fight for their season in the third period against Union College. The Riverhawks are down 3-1 after two periods in the NCAA East Regional Final.

Terrance Wallin got UMass Lowell on the board 14 minutes into the second period, connecting with David Vallorani and William Eiserman for a goal. The goal put the Riverhawks within one goal of Union, 2-1.

Union answered three minutes later with a Josh Jooris goal past UMass Lowell goaltender Doug Carr to give the Dutchmen another two goal lead. Union took the 3-1 lead into the locker room.

Carr has made 28 saves so far, and his team has 17 shots on net.
