The number one overall seed in the 2012 NCAA Hockey Tournament, the Boston College Eagles lead the Air Force Falcons in their first round match-up by a score of 1-0 after two periods of play. Chris Kreider has scored the game's lone goal.
Boston College out-shot the Falcons nine to eight in the first period, and turned up the pressure in the second period. At one point, they had eight straight shots, taking the shots lead on the Falcons by a count of 18-10. At the end of the period they lead Air Force in shots, 19-12.
Despite the discrepancy in shots on goal, Boston College still only leads by a single goal heading into the third and final period.
