Beanpot 2012, BC Vs. BU: Chris Kreider Keeps BC Up 2-1 After Two

BOSTON - Boston University finally found a way to solve Parker Milner, who had been perfect in net for Boston College, but Chris Kreider put one past Kieran Millan and the Eagles took a 2-1 lead over the Terriers into the third period in the championship game of the 20120 Beanpot on Monday night at TD Garden.

Kreider's goal came on a 5-on-3 power play and was his 19th of the season, assisted by Johnny Gaudreau (12) at 18:42 of the second period. Garrett Noonan scored his 10th goal of the campaign to tie the game at 1-1 for Boston University (assisted by Matt Nieto (10) and Alex Chiasson (19)) at 15:11 of the middle period.

Milner and Millan have been stellar for most of the game. Milner has allowed just the one goal and has 17 saves while Millan has had double-digit saves in both periods (15 and 12, respectively) and has 27 for the game.
