2012 Big East Tournament: UConn Vs. Syracuse Game Time, TV Schedule And More

By beating West Virginia 71-67 in overtime on Wednesday, the ninth seed Huskies have earned a date with top-seeded Syracuse in the quarterfinals of the Big East Tournament.

UConn (20-12, 8-10) trailed by 11 points midway through the second half against the Mountaineers, only to come roaring back on the shoulders of Shabazz Napier who scored 20 of his 26 points in the final 20 minutes of regulation.

Napier was unstoppable for stretches, including back-to-back steals and subsequent lay-ups that tied the game with just a few minutes remaining.

While the Orange (30-1, 17-1) must have been impressed, it's doubtful they're worried. Syracuse comes into Thursday off of a double-bye and the prohibitive favorite to win the tourney.

With Scoop Jardine, Fab Melo, Kris Joseph and C.J. Fair among others being coached by Jim Boeheim, it's easy to understand why the Orange are held in such high regard.

These two teams met twice this season, most recently in Connecticut where Syracuse narrowly held on to defeat the Huskies 71-69. In the previous meeting, the Orange crushed Jim Calhoun's squad 85-67 at the Carrier Dome.

Time: 12:00 p.m. ET

TV: ESPN
