Big East Tournament 2012, UConn Vs. West Virginia Score Update: Huskies Trail 30-26 At Half

The Connecticut Huskies played West Virginia to a standstill for most of the first half during a second-round Big East Tournament game on Wednesday, but allowed a late run and enter halftime trailing 30-26.

West Virginia finished on an 8-1 run, allowing the Mountaineers to enter halftime with the game's largest lead. The winner meets Syracuse in the quarterfinals of the Big East Tournament on Thursday.

UConn still has work left to do after a first half during which neither team led by more than four points. The Huskies took their largest lead at 25-22 on a Shabazz Napier three before finishing the half on a sour note.

Jeremy Lamb paced UConn with 12 points, hitting five of nine shots from the field. The Huskies need to pay more attention to the glass after being outrebounded 18-9 in the first 20 minutes.
