Big East Tournament 2012: UConn Vs. West Virginia Game Time, TV Schedule And More

After trouncing DePaul 81-67 Tuesday afternoon to get the Big East Tournament underway, the Huskies have moved on to face West Virginia in an 8 vs. 9 seed affair.

Both teams need this game desperately to affirm their place in the NCAA Tournament. UConn (19-12, 8-10) helped themselves in a big way with a must-win yesterday, but may need to beat a good team such as the Mountaineers to get the selection committee on its side.

It definitely helps UConn's cause that Jim Calhoun is now back on the sideline after missing extended time this season.

West Virginia (19-12, 9-9) is looking to win its third straight game after a rough stretch where it lost four of five.

In their only previous meeting with the Huskies on January 9th, the Mountaineers fell on the road 64-57. Redemption will certainly be on the minds of Bob Huggins and his team. With a victory, West Virginia will almost certainly punch their ticket to March Madness.

Time: 12:00 p.m. ET

TV: ESPN
