The Connecticut Huskies ended the regular season on a high note, with a nine point victory over the Pittsburgh Panthers, in front of their home crowd. The win improves the Huskies' record to 18-12 on the season, but at just 8-10 in the Big East, a NCAA Tournament bid is highly unlikely.
The Huskies ended the game with a shooting percentage over 50 percent, attempted more than twice as many free throws as the Panthers and forced Pitt into 14 turnovers.
Sophomore guard, Shabazz Napier, lead the Huskies in scoring with 23, adding six assists and four steals. Jeremy Lamb finished with 14 points and four rebounds. The dynamic freshman duo of Ryan Boatright and Andre Drummond combined for 13 points, four blocks, five steals, seven rebounds and five assists.
The Panthers had five players score in double figures, led by J.J. Moore with 16.
