During the Women's 2012 NCAA Tournament selection show, the UConn Huskies were given a No. 1 seed.
UConn will play in the Kingston regional against 16-seed Prairie View in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on Saturday, March 17, at 1:30 p.m. on ESPN2/ESPN3.
UConn (29-4) won the Big East's automatic bid for winning the conference tournament over Notre Dame. Prairie View (17-15) received an automatic bid for winning the SWAC Tournament championship.
