The ninth-ranked Connecticut Huskies won their seventh consecutive game today against the St. John's Red Storm, by a final score of 83-69. UConn was led by Shabazz Napier, who scored 17 points and dished out 9 assists. Jeremy Lamb, Andre Drummond and Ryan Boatright weren't far behind – they all scored in double figures.
The Huskies shot an impressive 60 percent from the floor, while holding the Red Storm to 36 percent shooting. UConn also made 9 threes on 16 attempts, led by Jeremy Lamb, who hit four threes on his own.
St. John's was able to hang around most of the game because of the turnover battle. The Huskies turned the ball over 15 times, and only forced seven Red Storm turnovers.
The Huskies next game is on January 3, when they travel to New Jersey to face the Seton Hall Pirates.
