Most Boston area college basketball teams are in action this weekend. The UMass Minutemen (8-3) kick off the weekend slate on Saturday at 7 p.m. when they host Qunnipiac (5-4).
The No.10 Connecticut Huskies (8-1) host Holy Cross (4-6) at 1 p.m. on Sunday. UConn has the third-leading scorer in the Big East in Jeremy Lamb (20 ppg) and the blocks leader in freshman center Andre Drummond (2.8 blocks per game). Holy Cross is led by senior guard Devin Brown (14.7 ppg).
The Boston College Eagles (3-7) will see if they can feed off their win last time out against Stony Brook when they play Bryant (1-9) at 1 p.m. Sunday. Bryant comes into the game having lost their last eight games.
