Glen Davis raps about himself in new song 'Big Baby Gon' Turn It Up'

Douglas Jones-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

Former Boston Celtics forward Glen Davis wasn't satisfied with his arena celebration music, so he took it upon himself to remedy the situation.

Orlando Magic forward Glen "Big Baby" Davis has released a song about ... Glen "Big Baby" Davis. The fifth-year veteran out of LSU has always been known for having an off-beat personality, but he showed off his ability to stay on the beat in his latest creation, "Big Baby Gon' Turn It Up."

Of course, staying on the beat and staying on tune are completely different things, and it appears that Davis needed a bit of help in the latter. The song features plenty of autotune as Davis declares "Big Baby gon' turn it up" repeatedly. Davis also hits on popular rap topics such as rose wine and partying in the club.

Davis wants the Magic to use the song as his personal celebration sound during games, according to the Orlando Sentinel. Unfortunately for fans of the song, and fortunately for lovers of music, it appears this will be Big Baby's only foray into the rap world:

Davis was asked whether he's going to release an album.

A smile crossed his face.

"No," he said, still grinning. "I'm a one-hit wonder."

"Hit" may be stretching it, but time will tell for the now crossover star.
