The Boston Red Sox look to avenge their loss Thursday night against the Cleveland Indians as the two teams continue their four-game series Friday night at Progressive Fied in Cleveland, Ohio.
Clay Buchholz (9-3, 4.48 ERA) will get the start for the Red Sox, looking to continue his strong run of form lately. Buchholz has won five of his last six decisions and has given up three earned runs or less in eight of his last ten starts in the same timespan. In his last start against the Minnesota Twins on Aug 4, Buchholz gave up seven hits and one unearned run in seven innings of work.
Cleveland will counter with Chris Seddon (0-0, 7.71 ERA), who is making his second start and his third appearance overall this year. Seddon did not factor into the decision in his first start against the Detroit Tigers on Aug 5. Seddon went 4-1/3 innings, giving up seven hits and four earned runs in the process.
