Just hours before the Boston Red Sox are to take on the New York Yankees, their mascot Wally the Green Monster has been reported stolen. Police are on the look out to find the mascot costume and return it to Fenway Park in time for game Friday night.

The mascot costume was reported stolen at 2:22 p.m. when a call came from the corner of Boylston and Dartmouth streets. The police reports says that Wally the Green Monster was last seen near with the Boylston and Fairfield streets.

The culprit who stole the costume is actually wearing the outfit; however Red Sox fans should not be worried too much because there is a backup Wally the Green Monster costume.
