The Boston Red Sox made a minor transaction on Friday before beginning a three-game interleague series with the Atlanta Braves at Fenway Park, according to Brian MacPherson of the Providence Journal.

Repko, a 31-year old outfielder, has managed just one hit over 11 at-bats with the Red Sox this season.
Jon Lester takes the mound for the Red Sox on Friday night as they look for their sixth consecutive victory. The left-hander has struggled this season, taking a pedestrian 4-4 record and 4.53 ERA into the outing. His last two starts were encouraging if not dominant, as he struck out a combined 17 batters over 13.2 innings while keeping the Red Sox in both games.
