The Red Sox (31-32) won the final two games of their series with the Miami Marlins after dropping their previous four outings. They will be visiting Wrigley Stadium for the first time since 2005, and will hand the ball to Daisuke Matsuzaka as they attempt to down former Red Sox general manager Theo Epstein's new team.
Chicago will counter with Ryan Dempster, who has allowed two runs or fewer in eight of his 11 starts. The Cubs are 3-10 this month and have the worst record (21-42) in the MLB.
