David Ortiz hit a two-run homer and Jon Lester gave up four earned in his third win of the season to lead the Boston Red Sox past the Philadelphia Phillies, 7-5, in the middle game of a three-game weekend set on Saturday evening at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.

Ortiz's two-run shot came in the fifth inning, extending the Red Sox' lead to 7-4 while providing the eventual game-winning run. Ortiz was 2-for-4 in the game and raised his batting average to .344. Lester, meanwhile, tossed six innings and allowed four earned runs on eight hits and had one walk and three strikeouts as Boston avenged its 6-4 loss Friday.

Boston received four home runs on the night, as Mike Aviles, Will Middlebrooks and Jarrod Saltalamacchia all joined Oritz with long balls. Middlebrooks and Saltalamacchia hit their homers back-to-back in the fourth inning. Aviles hit his home run in the first.

The series finale takes place on Sunday afternoon in Philly. First pitch is at 1:35 p.m. ET.
