Boston Red Sox vs. Philadelphia Phillies - 7:05 p.m. EDT (TV/Radio: ESPN, NESN/WEEI): Terry Francona has finally folded under the pressure, telling reporters that he will play Adrian Gonzalez in right field for the second game of the Red Sox' series against the Phillies on Wednesday night. Boston was blanked, 5-0, in the series opener on Tuesday and has scored 14 runs in its last six games, and has been forced to bench David Ortiz for the past four games because of the National League rules.
