2012 NIT Tournament Schedule And Bracket Update

Stay connected for news and updates

With the Washington Huskies and UMass Minutemen taking care of business on Tuesday to reach the semifinals, two spots remain with four teams vying on Wednesday to fill them.

The Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders are one such team. After beating the top-seeded Tennessee Volunteers, the Blue Raiders now face the Minnesota Golden Gophers at home. Another victory would earn them a trip to Madison Square Garden to play Washington.

Tubby Smith's group is coming off of a 78-60 beating of Miami (FL) on the road, so their confidence is soaring. The Big Ten participants are one of two teams playing tonight from a power conference.

The other is the Stanford Cardinal, who will play host to the Nevada Wolf Pack.

Stanford barely beat Illinois State 92-88 in overtime in the second round and will need a better effort to knock off a tough Nevada group.

The Wolf Pack beat Bucknell 75-67 in their previous tilt at home and will now take to the road in search of a victory. The winner of this game moves on to face UMass.
