After a win over the one seed in their region on Saturday, the Massachusetts Minutemen have advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2012 NIT Tournament, where they await the winner of Drexel and Northern Iowa. The Dragons and Panthers will square of at 11 am EST on Sunday.
As a five seed in their region, UMass has already taken down a four seed (Mississippi State) and a one seed (Seton Hall) en route to their final eight birth. If Drexel wins their second round match-up, UMass would be the lower seed once again, with the Dragons being a three seed.
The Minutemen have not played Drexel or Northern Iowa this season.
