NIT 2012, Mississippi State Vs. UMass: Game Time, TV Schedule And More

The UMass Minutemen men's basketball program will begin their march to Madison Square Garden and the National Invitation Tournament's Final Four Tuesday, as they face the Mississippi State Bulldogs at Humphrey Coliseum (7 p.m. on ESPN2).

The Minutemen (22-11) will be entering their 11th NIT appearance as a No. 5 seed, while the Bulldogs are a No. 4 seed. The winner of this matchup advance to the second round to face either top-seeded Seton Hall Pirates or No. 8 Stony Brooke Seawolves in the Sweet 16.

In 2008, the Minutemen made it all the way to the NIT Final Four and the Championship Game. This will be the first time in program history that UMass will play Mississippi State.
