Montel Harris Held Out Of Boston College Football Spring Practice

Montel Harris is continuing to feel the effects of his offseason knee surgery prior to last season, as the fifth-year senior back will not participate in Boston College Eagles spring football practice which began last Saturday, said Frank Spaziani.

Harris took part in the Eagles' first practice this past weekend, but complained about discomfort and re-aggrivated his left knee injury. Playing it safe, Spaziani has decided to pull the plug on Harris for now and give him more time to recover.

Last season, Harris missed the first three games while continuing to recover, but did return for BC's games against Massachusetts and Wake Forest. However, the Eagles star back couldn't get back to full health and missed the rest of the season. In the offseason, Harris was granted an additional year of eligibility via medical hardship waiver.

Harris is the Eagles' all-time leading rusher with 3,735 rushing yards and 27 scores.
