Just five days before the start of spring practice, the Boston College Eagles finally have a full staff of coaches. Head coach Frank Spaziani announced three new coaches on Monday. Sean Desai will coach running backs and special teams, Aaron Smith will coach wide receivers, and Al Washington will assist with special teams and the defensive line.
Desai comes to BC from Miami, where he served as assistant director of football operations. He was a special teams coordinator at Temple prior to the position with the Hurricanes. Smith coached receivers at Columbia for five seasons before moving to Boston. Washington is a former Eagles defensive lineman. He coached linebackers last year at Elon.
In all, the Eagles will welcome six new coaches for the upcoming season with the additions of offensive coordinator Doug Martin, offensive line coach Jim Bollman, and strength and conditioning coach Mike Poidomani.
