CHESTNUT HILL - Reggie Johnson made his presence felt in the first half, asserting himself on both sides of the ball to finish the half with 10 points, four rebounds and a block as the Miami Hurricanes took a 34-31 lead over the Boston College Eagles at the break here at Conte Forum.
Johnson was the only player to reach double-digit scoring for Miami, which made 14-of-36 field goals to shoot 38.9 percent. Durand Scott and Kenny Kadji each scored seven points while DeQuan Jones and Trey McKinney Jones each finished the half with six points apiece for the Hurricanes.
Matt Humphrey led the Eagles with nine points on 3-of-4 shooting from long range for Boston College, which shot at a 42.3 percent clip in the half. Jordan Daniels had seven points and Ryan Anderson added six points, three boards and two assists for the Eagles.
