With signing day approaching, the Boston College Eagles will hold their annual football signing day press conference at 1:00 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, February 1 in the Barber Family Auditorium at the Yawkey Athletics Center in Chestnut Hill.
The conference will feature head coach Frank Spaziani, who is heading into his fourth season at the helm of the program. Spaziani has a 20-19 record in three seasons at BC and is 1-2 all-time in bowl games. In each of his three seasons at BC, the Eagles have regressed from a record standpoint, with the team finishing 4-8 and 3-5 in the ACC this past season.
In 2011, the Eagles ranked near the bottom of the Atlantic Coast Conference in several categories. BC was 12th out of 12 teams in scoring offense (averaged 18.2 PPG) and was also last in total offense (298.2 YPG) and was second last in pass defense (243.2 YPG). The Eagles began they season with Orange Bowl expectations, according to Spaziani.
