Raleigh, NC (Sports Network) - Richard Howell notched 11 points and 16 rebounds as the NC State Wolfpack defeated the Boston College Eagles, 76-62, in an ACC bout at the RBC Center.
Scott Wood scored 16 points with four three-pointers for NC State (14-5, 3-1 ACC). C.J. Leslie added 14 points and C.J. Williams netted 10. Lorenzo Brown came up a point shy of his own double-double as he handed out a game-high 11 assists. The Wolfpack are now winners of eight of their last nine.
For Boston College (7-11, 2-2), Dennis Clifford was the only player in double figures with 12 points. The loss for the Eagles halts a two-game win streak.
NC State got out to a 45-28 lead in the first half. The Wolfpack shot 57.6 percent from the floor in the frame and finished the half on a 24-7 run. The Eagles shot just 39.3 percent in the period and were outscored in the paint 26-10.
Boston College was able to close the gap in the second half thanks to improved shooting and four three-pointers, but the lead was too insurmountable to overcome.
NC State outrebounded Boston College 44-28, including 14-8 on the offensive glass.

The Boston College Eagles, winners of two straight games, head to Raleigh, NC to take on the North Carolina State Wolfpack. Boston College stumbled out of the gates this season, going 5-9 in out of conference play, and has struggled on offense all year.
