Herzlich did not release the terms of his new contract. Herzlich played four seasons at Boston College, amassing 314 tackles (218 solo), 11 interceptions and three sacks during his tenure at Chestnut Hill. Herzlich is best known for his courageous battle against Ewing's Sarcoma, a rare form of cancer that caused him to miss the entire 2009 season. Miraculously, Herzlich overcame the disease and returned to play in his senior season.
Lapham, who also graduated this year, is an Amherst, New Hampshire native who played for the Eagles for four seasons. Lapham started eight games at right tackle left season, but injured his right knee against Clemson. Thanks in part to Lapham and his teammates on the offensive line, BC's running backs racked up 100 or more yards in nine separate games last season.
