The 2011 Boston College football schedule will be revealed Monday afternoon when the ACC officially releases the conference's schedule for the upcoming season at 2 p.m. EST.
Though the official release is not until his afternoon, much of BC's 2011 schedule is already known. The Eagles will open at home against the Northwestern Wildcats from the Big Twelve Big Ten on Sept. 3. Northwestern went 7-6 in 2010, with all six losses coming in their final eight games, including falling to Texas Tech in the TicketCity Bowl, 45-38.
In the second week of the season, BC will head south for their first road game of the season, a matchup with the Central Florida Knights (Conference USA) on Sept. 10, a team that went 11-3 a season ago. Weeks 3 and 4 are unknown at this point, but on Oct. 1, Boston College will play an in-state rivalry game when they host the Massachusetts Minutemen from the FBS.
In their fourth and final non-conference game, Boston College will travel to South Bend to take on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Nov. 19 for the latest edition of the Holy War.
BC will play eight ACC games in 2011: Wake Forest, N.C. State, Florida St. and Duke will come to Chestnut Hill while the Eagles will travel to play Maryland, Clemson, Miami and Virginia Tech.
