Boston College leapt out to a big lead early behind strong shooting but it was all Bryant over the final minutes, as the Eagles hold a 34-32 halftime lead.
Lonnie Jackson leads the Eagles with nine points, including two of the team’s five 3-pointers. Ryan Anderson added eight points and Patrick Heckmann poured in five quick points off the bench, before picking up his second foul.
For Bryant, second-leading scorer Frankie Dobbs scored all nine of his points late in the first half to get his team back into the game. Alex Francis, Ben Altit and Corey Maynard all added seven points for the Bulldogs who have had just five players score.
Boston College jumped out to an 18-4 lead less than seven minutes into the game, and were shooting more than 50 percent halfway through the session, before going cold against the Bryant 2-3 zone. The Bulldogs finally cut got the deficit back into single digits for good with two minutes to go and finished the half on a 10-2 run.
