Boston College is coming off its first FBS win of the season, beating Maryland on the road. Don't expect the winning to continue on Thursday when the Eagles host ACC rival Florida St. at 8:00 p.m. on ESPN. The odds are not in BC's favor, so to speak.

According to OddsShark.com, the spread opened with the Seminoles as 16-point favorites. Florida State has been largely disappointing this season after entering the year with national title aspirations ... but still: Boston College is one of the worst teams in Division I-A. The over under for the game is set at 44 points.

BC enters the game at 2-6 (1-4 ACC), last in the ACC's Atlantic Division. After starting the season 2-3, Florida State has regained form, winning its last three games by wide margins. True, those games were against Duke, Maryland and NC State, three of the worst teams in the ACC. Then again, what do you think BC is?
