Boston College Vs. Maryland: TV Schedule, Time, Location, History And More

Luke Kuechly and the Boston College Eagles travel to College Park, Maryland in search of their first FBS win this season against the Maryland Terrapins.

Event: Boston College Eagles vs. Maryland Terrapins - NCAA Football, Week 9.

Date/Time: Saturday, October 29, 2011 - 3:00 p.m. EDT.

Location: Capital One Field at Byrd Stadium, College Park, Maryland.

Broadcast Info: Saturday's game between Boston College and Maryland will be broadcast live online on ESPN3, and on television at RSN, with Rich Waltz on the play-by-play, Keith Jones handling the analysis and Jenn Hildreth sideline reporting.

The game can also be heard on the WEEI Sports Radio Network, with Jon Meterparel providing play-by-play, Pete Cronan providing analysis and former BC quarterback Brian St. Pierre on the sidelines. The game can be heard on 680 AM WRKO.  The broadcast can also be heard live on SIRIUS Satellite Radio (channel 93) and XM Satellite Radio (channel 192).

Series History: Boston College leads the all-time series against UMass, 5-3. The Eagles have won four of the six ACC meetings. BC fell to Maryland 24-21 in the last meeting on Oct. 23, 2010.

Last Week: Boston College watched a 7-6 halftime lead evaporate against the Virginia Tech Hokies, who cruised in the second half for a 30-14 win. Chase Rettig threw for 181 yards and one touchdown, and Rolandan Finch carried the ball 18 times for 92 yards in the loss.

Maryland was pounded by Florida State, 41-16, despite 272 passing yards combined between C.J. Brown and Danny O'Brien.

Storyline: Boston College is still looking for its elusive first win against an FBS team. The Eagles lone win came against UMass, an FCS program.

Maryland is almost as desperate for a win as Boston College. The Terrapins fell to 2-5 last week and have now last three straight after beating Towson.

Players To Watch: Terrapins running back Davin Meggett recorded two 100-yard games in Maryland's first four games, but was held to 113 yards combined in losses to Clemson and Florida St. Against a Boston College defense not especially stout against the run, Meggett could get back on track.

Luke Kuechly has proven himself as one of the country's best linebackers, recording double-digit tackles in 29 straight games, the longest streak in the nation. He is a finalist for the 2011 Butkus Award, given to the nation's top linebacker, after finishing as the Butkus runner-up last season.

Prediction: This could be Boston College's best chance to find an FBS win. But beating an ACC opponent on the road will prove difficult. Final Score: Maryland 31, BC 20.
