Boston Celtics restricted free agent Greg Stiemsma will meet with the Timberwolves according to Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe.
Stiemsma and his agent Mike Naiditch were set to meet with Timberwolves GM David Kahn on Friday, but it was postponed until Saturday due to Minnesota signing veteran guard Brandon Roy and their desire to sign Portland Trailblazers swingman Nicholas Batum
The Celtics made a $1.1 million qualifying offer to Stiemsma, and have the right to match any offer sheet that Stiemsma signs with the Timberwolves or any other team that is interested in the Wisconsin product.
Naiditch said he was only concerned with Boston not matching an offer sheet if the Celtics re-signed Ray Allen. With Allen heading to Miami, the Celtics shouldn't have a problem finding the necessary funds to keep Stiemsma back to Boston.
