Boston Celtics Acquire Courtney Lee In Sign And Trade With Rockets

Courtney Lee has been acquired by the Boston Celtics, according to Yahoo! Sports. Boston landed the free agent guard in a sign-and-trade with the Houston Rockets, in which the Celtics sent JaJuan Johnson back to Houston.

Courtney Lee is the newest member of the Boston Celtics, as the C's will acquire the guard in a sign-and-trade deal with the Houston Rockets in which they will send JaJuan Johnson to Houston, according to Marc J. Spears Yahoo! Sports on Twitter.

Boston had been rumored to be interested in signing Lee in recent weeks. Lee is a four-year NBA veteran who has played for three teams in four years. Lee began his career with the Orlando Magic in the 2008-09 season after being drafted No. 22 overall by the Magic in the 2008 NBA Draft. Lee played for the New Jersey Nets in 2009-10 before joining the Rockets for the next two seasons. Lee has averaged 10.0 points and 2.8 rebounds in 287 games.
