Kevin Garnett and the Boston Celtics continue their pursuit of an 18th championship as they face the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals on Saturday night in South Beach.

Regular Season Series: Boston won the regular-season series, 3-1. Miami won the first game against Boston, 115-107, but the Celtics would respond with three straight wins against the Heat, all in the month of April. Boston posted a statement 91-72 win on April 1 and closed out the season series with a 115-107 win and a 78-66 win later in the month.

Celtics, Heat In First Two Rounds: Boston defeated the Atlanta Hawks in six games in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals and survived a seven-game series against the Philadelphia 76ers in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Miami defeated the New York Knicks in five games in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals before eliminating the Indiana Pacers in six games last round in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Playoff Stats: Kevin Garnett is the Celtics' playoff leader in scoring (19.5 PPG), rebounds (10.5 RPG) and blocks (1.5 BPG). Rajon Rondo leads the team in assists (11.8 APG) and steals (2.4 SPG). LeBron James leads the Heat in postseason scoring (30.8 PPG), rebounds (9.5 PRG), assists (5.3 APG), steals (2.0 SPG) and Dwyane Wade leads the team with 1.4 blocks per game.

Celtics Vs. Heat, Game 1: Miami did what was expected of it, blowing out Boston, 93-79, in the opening game of the Eastern Conference Finals. Boston was able to hang around for one half, but the Heat would be too much for the Celtics to handle in the second half. LeBron James scored 32 points and had 13 rebounds.

Celtics Vs. Heat, Game 2: Rajon Rondo dazzled with a career night, scoring 44 points and dishing out 10 assists, but Miami survived in a high scoring affair, winning 115-111 in overtime, to take a 2-0 series lead. LeBron James had 34 points in the Heat victory.

Celtics Vs. Heat, Game 3: LeBron James again topped the 30-point plateau, but the Celtics responded with a statement 101-91 victory to cut their series deficit to 2-1. Kevin Garnett had 24 points and 11 rebounds, Paul Pierce scored 23 and Rajon Rondo amassed 21 points and 10 assists.

Celtics Vs. Heat, Game 4: Paul Pierce and LeBron James both fouled out in overtime, and the Celtics survived 93-91 in the extra period to even the series. Pierce finished with 23 points and Kevin Garnett had 17 points and 14 rebounds. LeBron James finished with 29 points.

Celtics Vs. Heat, Game 5: Paul Pierce shook off a poor game and delivered the potential series dagger, burying a three over LeBron James with 52 seconds left to help Boston top Miami 94-90 to take a 3-2 series lead. LeBron James scored 30 and Dwyane Wade totaled 27 points.

Celtics Vs. Heat, Game 6: LeBron James put the Heat on his back, scoring a playoff-high 45 points to carry Miami to a 98-79 win in Game 6, evening up the series at 3-3. Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett were virtual no-shows, with KG scoring 10 and Pierce scoring nine. Rajon Rondo had 21 points and 10 assists.

Prediction: Game 7's are hard to predict, but with the Heat stealing momentum back in Game 6 and Game 7 being played on their home court, well, advantage Heat. Final Score: Heat 96, Celtics 91.
