NEWARK - Unhappy with only one former member of the Syracuse Orange, the Boston Celtics drafted Fab Melo's teammate -- forward Kris Joseph -- with the No. 51 overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft on Thursday night at the Prudential Center.

Joseph played four seasons at Syracuse, marking the second straight year they drafted a four-year player out of college. Joseph had his best season in 2010-11, averaging a career-high 14.3 points and 5.3 rebounds. Last season, Joseph's numbered regressed slightly, as he averaged 13.4 points and 4.7 boards for the Orange.

During his tenure at Syracuse, Joseph's shooting numbers were up and down. In his freshman season, he shot 42.7 percent while averaging just 3.4 points. The next season, he shot a career-best 49 percent, and followed it up with a 45.6 percent mark during his junior year. This past season, Joseph shot 42.1 percent.
